MPV Signs Healthcare Group

Medical Present Value Inc., a provider of financial software and consulting services to medical groups, revealed Tuesday that it has signed a service contract with University of North Carolina Physicians & Associates. The financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. MPV said it will automate the payor contract management processes for its new client, which is the medical group faculty practice plan for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Medicine. MPV explained that its financial software and contract-analysis services will help the group practice to monitor reimbursement accuracy, identify payment variances and negotiate more favorable contracts. UNC Physicians & Associates comprises some 1,200 providers, MPV noted. Medical Present Value is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
