Perot Systems Names Hummel Healthcare Unit CTO
Information technology consulting firm Perot Systems Corp. reported Tuesday that it has hired John Hummel as chief technology officer of the company's global Healthcare unit. The Plano, Texas-based business described Hummel as a 30-year veteran of the information systems and health care management spaces. Most recently, he served as chief information officer for the California Prison Healthcare Receivership, one of the world's largest prison systems. He also worked as a CIO for Sutter Health and has held various technical positions with Microsoft's Healthcare Users Group, the National Alliance for Health Information Technology, CalRHIO and the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology.
