Pluck to Power Guardian's Online Social Content

Pluck Corp., a provider of social media software and services, announced Monday that it will supply social-networking and reader-interaction services for Guardian News and Media, the U.K.-based publisher of the Guardian and Observer newspapers. The financial impact of the deal was not reported. Pluck said it will implement its SiteLife Social Media Platform across the Guardian’s network of online properties, including its Guardian Unlimited Web site, which Pluck said attracts more unique visitors than any other news site in the United Kingdom. SiteLife is a social media toolset for blogs, photos, videos, comments, recommendations, reviews, ratings and other specialized forms of participation. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Pluck Corp. is a privately held company backed by Austin Ventures, Mayfield Fund and Reuters.
