Caringo Raises Funding

Austin-based Caringo, which develops content storage software, said today that it has received a private equity funding from Vodafone Ventures and Austin Ventures. Caringo develops storage software used for archiving content on clustered storage. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. Caringo's flagship software is called CAStor, and runs on commodity server hardware to create content addressable storage (CAS) clusters. According to Caringo, the firm's software can scale from 1 terabyte to petabytes of data. More information »
