SolarWinds Ships New Module

Austin-based network management software provider SolarWinds has upgraded the firm's software, saying Monday that it has shipped a new module for its Orion performance management product. The new Application Performance Monitor module allows the firm's customers to monitor the performance of applications such as Active Directory, HTTP, DNS, and other network services. According to the firm, the new module starts at $2,995. SolarWinds develops network management software used by IT administrators to monitor their enterprise networks; the firm is backed by Austin Ventures, Bain Capital, and Insight Venture Partners.
