WiQuest Releases Reference Design

Allen, Texas-based WiQuest Communicaitons, which develops semiconductors for the wireless USB market, said earlier this week that it has released a reference design for wireless USB products. The firm said its new reference design kit allows device equipment manufacturers to build wireless USB products using the firm's wireless adapters, USB mini cards, or Half Mini cards. The reference kit includes software, hardware, schematics, and other support materials for OEMs. WiQuest is venture backed by Adams Street Partners, D.E. Shaw, iD Ventures America, Menlo Ventures, Palomar Ventures, Sequoia Capital, and TriplePoint Capital.
