LifeSize Rolls Out New HD Video Conferencing System

Austin-based Lifesize Communications said this morning that it has rolled out a new, high definition video communications system that the firm says is priced below $5000. The firm, which develops HD video conferencing systems, claimed that the product is the "world's most affordable telepresence system." LifeSize develops video and conferencing systems used to connect remote sites, different company locations, and others. The new LifeSize Focus system is available for $4999. LifeSize is backed by Austin Ventures, Lehman Brothers Venture Partners, Northwest Venture Associates, Norwest Venture Partners, Pinnacle Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, and Sutter Hill Ventures.
