GTronix Debuts New Design Center in Richardson
Fabless semiconductor manufacturer GTronix Inc. announced Monday that it has opened a new design center in the Lone Star State. GTronix explained that the new facility is located in Richardson and will be responsible for producing low-power, mixed-signal, application-specific integrated circuits based on the company's patented APT analog technology. The technology, GTronix noted, has applications in wired and wireless headsets, cell phones, PDAs, laptop computers and other portable electronic devices. GTronix said its Richardson design team, which currently consists of five engineers and a company founder, will also focus on accelerating new product designs for the company. Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Fremont, Calif., GTronix is a privately held company backed by Menlo Ventures and JAFCO Ventures.
