Eltek Gets Product Design Award
Eltek, the developer of power supplies and inverters for the telecom and industrial market, reports that one of its products has received a prestigious product design award. The firm, which is based in Richardson, said that its THEIA HE-t solar inverter just scored a "red dot award: product design 2012" in a worldwide competition in Germany. The firm's solar inverters are used to convert photovoltaic power into usable, AC power on solar power installations. Eltek was one of 17 product designs to get awards as part of the program. Eltek's worldwide headquarters are in Norway; the firm bought Texas-based Valere Power back in 2007 and has had major operations in Richardson since.
