HelioVolt Hires Former DuPont Exec Eldada as CTO

HelioVolt Corp., a manufacturer of thin-film solar energy products, reported Monday that it has hired Louay Eldada as chief technical officer. HelioVolt said Eldada spent the previous five years at DuPont, where he served as CTO, vice president of technology and vice president of engineering, as well as a board director for DuPont Photonics Technologies. At HelioVolt, the company noted, Eldada will direct strategic technology planning and development. Prior to DuPont, Eldada founded and managed Telephotonics Inc., which DuPont later acquired. He has also held senior-level positions at Honeywell Inc. and Corning Inc. Privately funded and headquartered in Austin, Texas, HelioVolt is currently commercializing a suite of photovoltaic products based on a proprietary copper-indium-gallium-selenide manufacturing process.
