Apogee Revives Duke Nukem

Dallas-based Apogee Software said today that it has re-established itself as a publishing and production company in the video game business. According to the firm, it has revived the popular Duke Nukem games for the handheld console market, with a new title called Duke Nukem trilogy. The new games will be produced under an exclusive license agreement with 3D Realms and MachineWorks Northwest LLC. Apogee was a major publisher of shareware games in the 1990's. Among the firm's most popular titles were Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3-D, Raptor, and Rise of the Triad.
