Raytheon Acquires Telemus Solutions Inc.

Defense contractor Raytheon Co. announced Monday that it has acquired Telemus Solutions Inc., a provider of information security, intelligence and technical services to federal agencies. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Based in Falls Church, Va., Telemus offers infrastructure protection, engineering, research and analysis in an effort to help its customers detect and delay potential security threats. Raytheon said Telemus will become a part of Raytheon IIS, the Raytheon division that focuses on providing information and intelligence solutions to the U.S. government. Raytheon IIS is based in Garland, Texas. Raytheon Co. employs some 72,000 people worldwide and is headquartered in Waltham, Mass.
