Semiconductor Maker Gets Navy Win
TriQuint Semiconductor, a maker of high speed semiconductors, said Monday that the firm has scored a $4.5M contract with the Office of Naval Research. The firm, which maintains operations in Richardson, said it has been awarded a 21-month contract to advance manufacturing methods for producing high-power, high-performance, gallium arsenide (GaAs) amplifiers. Those components are being used for defense and aerospace applications. The Navy contract work will all occur at the firm's Richardson, Texas location.
