Dell Gets Big EqualLogic Order
Round Rock-based Dell said this morning it has received its largest-ever order for its EqualLogic storage hardware, in a deal with the Japan Institute of Advanced Science and Technology (JAIST). Dell did not disclose financial details of the deal, but said that JAIST will implement 38 units of its EqualLogic PS5000x and 21 units of its EqualLogic PS5000E iSCSI SAn storage arrays in its data center. The storage will be used for JAIST's iSCSI file serving. Dell purchased EqualLogic in November of 2007.
