Dell Ships New EqualLogic Storage

Round Rock-based Dell has shipped a new set of products from its EqualLogic storage line, the firm said this morning. According to Dell, it has launched two new families of virtualized, IP-based storage products, the EqualLogic PS6100 and PS4100. Dell said that the new storage lines provide support for 2.5 inch drive support, up to 60 percent performance improvements, and more. The PS4100 Series is aimed at small to medium businesses, and the PS6100 is aimed at highly virtualized data centers. Pricing on the new arrays was not announced.
