Silicon Labs Promotes Long-Time Exec
Integrated circuit manufacturer Silicon Laboratories Inc. reported Monday that it has promoted Mark Thompson to vice president and general manager of its microcontroller products division. Thompson, the Austin-based company said, replaces Coker, who retired before the New Year. Silicon Labs said Thompson joined the company in 2000 and served as director of marketing for its wireline products and broadcast products before being promoted to general manager of broadcast audio products in 2007. Tyson Tuttle, Silicon Labs' vice president of broadcast products, will act as interim general manager of broadcast audio products until a permanent replacement has been determined, the company said.
