LifeSize Reports Strong 2008

Austin-based LifeSize said Wednesday that the firm had record sales in its second half of 2008, and "close to 150%" growth for its full year. The provider of high definition, video conferencing hardware attributed the growth to an interst by companies, governnment, and organizations in its products as a way to reduce travel expenses and improve productivity. The privately held firm did not release its financials, but the firm said as a result of the growth, it expanded its organization by more than 70%. It also said it continued to hire through Q4, and--good news in the dismal economic environment--is is currently hiring and doing well.
