LifeSize Rolls Out New Camera

Austin-based LifeSize, the high definition video conferencing firm which is now a part of Logitech, said today that it has rolled out a new, camera product which works with the firm's videoconferencing systems. LifeSize said its new LifeSize Camera 10x offers a 10x optical zoom, and is designed for large meeting rooms, auditoriums, and lecture halls. The new camera can be focused in on a speaker in an auditorium and streamed via its videoconferencing products. LifeSize said the new product came from specific requests in the EMEA region, where it said customers have distinctive needs and environments. The new camera is bundled with its LifeSize 220 endpoint.
