Dell Expands Recycling Efforts
Round Rock-based Dell said today it is making a "major" expansion of its free computer recycling program, saying it has added Arkansas, Iowa, Maine, New Hampshire, Oregon and Vermont to the list of states where it will allow consumers to drop off their unwanted electronics for free. According to the computer manufacturer, it is partnering with Goodwill Industries on the expansion. Dell said it will provide the free program to consumers who want to recycle any brand of unwanted computer equipment. The firm also said it has launched an online trade-in system which will allow consumers to get Dell gift cards for turning into equipment via mail.
