Dell Expands Recycling Program
Round Rock-based Dell said Wednesday that it has expanded its computer recycling efforts, and has expanded into another 319 Goodwill locations. The firm said that it now has more than 2,600 Goodwill drop off locations which will accept computer equipment for recycling by the company. Dell said its recycling efforts resulted in more than 150 million pounds of end-of-life equipment being recycled in its fiscal 2011. The firm has had a long relationship with Goodwill, and has been steadily expanding the number of locations where it accepts computers for recycling through the charity.
