DG FastChannel Names CTO

DG FastChannel, a provider of digital media services to the advertising, entertainment and broadcast industries, reported Monday that it has hired Gregory M. Smith as chief technology officer. The Dallas-based company said Smith possesses more than 15 years of digital media technology and product development experience. Most recently, DG FastChannel said, he worked for Move Networks, where he spent the past five years as CTO. Before that, DG FastChannel continued, he was vice president of sales and vice president of technologies and products at All Media Guide. He has also served as senior product manager and director of technologies at Edgix, DG FastChannel noted.
