MedServe Acquired By Stericycle

Houston-based MedServe, a venture backed service provider which collects, transports, treats, and disposes of medical waste and hazardous waste, said Thursday it has agreed to be acquired by Stericycle, Inc. for $185M in cash. MedServe is owned by Avista Capital Partners, Chrysalis Ventures and Murphree Venture Partners. The firm said the deal is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory reviews.
