EmFinders Gets Investment From Liberty Media

Frisco-based EmFinders, which develops a device and related subscription service for tracking people with Alzheimer's or other conditions, said today that it has received a strategic investment from TruePosition, which is a subsidiary of Liberty Media. Amount of the investment was not disclosed. EmFinders said the new funding gives Liberty Media a controlling interest in the firm, and will go towards launch, sales, and distribution of its device and service. EmFinders was founded by Jim Nalley and Chris Buehler, and comes from the North Texas Enterprise Center for Medical Technology (NTEC) in Frisco. More information »
