SoftLayer Reports Revenues, Strong Growth

Plano-based SoftLayer Technologies, a developer of IT and hosting services, reported that the firm is on track to report more than $80M in revenues for 2009. The privately held firm said that it had greater than 40% EBITDA margins, and has seen 12 consecutive months of increases in its profitability. The privately held firm did not say why it was it was disclosing its financial results--something which is quite unusual for private companies--but said it was "extremely proud" of its record. The firm said it has $35M in capital to fund future expansion, and has deployed 21,000 servers serving 5,700 customers.
