SoftLayer Sets Quarterly Record in Q2

Dallas-based SoftLayer Technologies, the managed, cloud, and dedicated hosting provider, disclosed this morning that it hit a new revenue record in Q2. The privately held firm said it had $83M in revenue for the period, which was the greatest quarter of growth in the company's history. SoftLayer is headed by Lance Crosby. The firm said it had $33.6M in EBITDA, and now has more than 85,000 servers under management for more than 26,000 customers. The revenues are up from Q1, when the firm reported $78M in revenues. SoftLayer is owned by private equity firm GI Partners.
