SoftLayer Opens European HQ

Dallas-based SoftLayer Technologies, the provider of managed hosting services, said this morning that it has opened up a European headquarters and data center in The Netherlands. SoftLayer said the firm has invested $75M in the new European operation, as well as new network POPs in Amsterdam, London, and Frankfurt. SoftLayer said it plans to recruit 25 new staff to the location, under new General Manager for European Operations Jonathan Wisler. SoftLayer said the new center brings its to 13 data centers and 16 PoPs worldwide.
