NextIO, Texas Memory Systems In Bundle Deal

Austin-based NextIO, and Texas Memory Systems, which is based in Houston, said today that NextIO is bundling TMS's RamSan Solid State Disk with its I/O virtualization products. According to NextIO, it is using TMS RamSan Solid State Disks in its ICA-2800 Chassis, a product used to provide high bandwidth I/O connections to data centers. Financial details of the deal between the firm was not disclosed. NextIO said the use of the solid state disks from Texas Memory Systems will enable it to target application and database acceleration.
