Buffalo Ships USB 3.0 Hard Drive
Austin-based Buffalo Technology, a developer of networking and storage products, said Monday afternoon that the firm has rolled out its first, SuperSpeed USB 3.0 external storage products. The firm said its product, available in 1.0TB, 1.5TB, and 2.0TB capacities, supports transfer rates of up to 625 MB per second. The firm is targeting creative professionals, digital content creators, and computer power users with the new product. In addition to the new drive, Buffalo also said it is offering a two-port, USB 3.0 PCI Express interface card, compatible with both PC and Macs. The drives start at $199.99 for the 1TB version.
