Dell Revenues Up, But Profits Slip
Round Rock-based Dell released its fourth quarter and fiscal year results Thursday afternoon, saying that the firm had net income of $334M on revenues of $14.9 billion for its fourth quarter. Net income was down slightly from the $351M it earned in Q4 of last year, but revenues were up from the $13.42 billion it reported a year ago. Dell said that its revenue numbers improved in all of its segments. Dell specifically pointed at strength in Brazil, Russia, India and China, where revenues increased by 72 percent for the quarter, with China leading the way with an 81 percent increase in revenues.
