Silicon Labs Launches Wireless Chip
Austin-based Silicon Laboratories, a developer of analog and mixed-signal ICs, said today that it has launched a new wireless chip focused on wireless remote controls. The firm said its new EzRadio wireless ICs are designed for use in remote keyless entry systems, garage door openers, remote controls, building automation, and security devices. The new firm said the new, single, chip, remote control IC, significantly reduces bill of materials costs in electronics designs.
