GENBAND Wins Illinois Telecom Firm

Plano-based GENBAND, a provider of telecom switching equipment, said today that it has scored a win with Hamilton County Communications, a telecom firm based in Dahlgren, Illinois. GENBAND said that Hamilton County Communications is using the firm's C15 Compact Softswitch for advanced IP services and fiber-to-the-home to its subscribers. Hamilton County Communications serves Hamilton County and five other adjacent counties in Southern Illinois. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed.
