GENBAND's fring Deploys With French Carrier

Mobile IP communications service fring, which recently was acquired by Frisco-based GENBAND, has been selected by French telecom oeprator Bouygues Telecom, GENBAND said this week. GENBAND said that Bouygues Telecom has selected fring's service to provide free phone calls and SMS on Wi-Fi to its customers. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. GENBAND acquired fring earlier this month, for its smartphone apps for voice, SMS, chat, and other real time communications.
