Sipera Gets Security Certification

Richardson-based Sipera Systems, a provider of security appliances for the unified communications market, said today that it has received a certification for its UC-Sec product. According to the firm, it has received EAL 3+ level Common Criteria certification, a certification which is required for government agencies and companies needing the highest levels of security. The firm said it is the first Unified Communications product to receive such a certification. Sipera's products are used to manage the security of VoIP, IP video, collaboration, and other network traffic.
