Bonfire Studios Acquired By Zynga

Dallas-based Bonfire Studios, the game development firm founded by David Rippy, Bill Jackson and Scott Winsett, has been acquired by social gaming firm Zynga, Zynga said today. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to Zynga, Bonfire will become Zynga Dallas, and will develop original IP for the company. Rippy will serve as the firm's General Manager of Zynga dallas, with Winsett as Senior Art Director and Jackson as Creative Director. Zynga said Rippy, Jackson, and Winsett have been involved in PC and Xbox 360 games Age of Empires, Age of Mythology and Halo Wars.
