Layered Tech Upgrades Web Portal

Plano-based Layered Technologies reports today that it is upgrading its web-based customer portal, Pentagon 3. According to the provider of Internet hosting, cloud computing, and other services, the upgraded portal now includes added monitoring and provides better visibility to its customers. The firm said it is also planning to add support for Web-enabled mobile devices later this quarter. Among the upgrades to the service, the firm said it has added a dashboard with drag-and-drop widgets; additional purchasing options for virtual machines; access to VMware Console from within the portal; and ability to manage backups from the product later this year.
