Texas Venture Investments Reach $380.6M In Q3

The latest venture capital investment numbers, released this evening by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association, based on data from Thomson Reuters, find venture capital investments in Texas reached $380.6M in Q3, spread across 40 investments. The total invested was up from $208.0M invested in Q2, and up also from Q3 of 2009, when $220M was invested in the state. Texas fared far better than the nation as a whole, where $4.8 billion was invested in 780 venture capital deals--down 31 percent in dollars, and 19 percent in terms of deals, compared with Q2.
