Southwest Details Gowalla Sundance Promotion
Dallas-based Southwest Airlines has detailed its promotion of the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, and its deal with Gowalla, saying late Wednesday that it will offer its customers a chance to win roundtrip travel and tickets to the film festival. According to Southwest, users who use Gowalla to check in at a Southwest Airlines airport with nonstop service to Salt Lake City, will be offered a chance to win a roundtrip ticket to a Sundance Film Festival screening. Users will also be given a "Southwest Airlines Sundance Film Festival" pin for checking in at those airports. Southwest said it will give away 20 prizes in the competition. The Sundance Film Festival, held in Park City, Utah, is an annual gathering of Hollywood to screen new films from promising filmmakers.
