American Airlines Dropped By Expedia
In a continuation of the drama between online travel sites and Fort Worth-based American Airlines, travel site Expedia said over the weekend that it has dropped all listings from American on its site. The move came after Expedia said it failed to reach a business agreement with American over listings. Expedia had already downgraded its listings of American's fares and schedules after American pulled its listings from competitor Orbitz. Both Expedia and Orbitz use travel booking services like Sabre to manage their airfares and schedules, while American is looking to force those companies to instead use its own, Direct Connect technology.
