Rackspace Hosting, Akamai Tie On Cloud Efforts

San Antonio-based Rackspace Hosting and CDN provider Akamai Technologies said today that the two are in a new, strategic relationships. The companies said Rackspace will offer Akamai's web acceleration and cloud optimization services as part of its dedicated and cloud hosting portfolio. Financial details of the deal between the companies were not disclosed. The deal includes access to Akamai's CNAMES, SSL, and CDN delivery for Cloud Files offerings.
