Rackspace Revamps Logo, Stresses Open Cloud
San Antonio-based hosting firm Rackspace Hosting said this morning that it is revamping its branding to stress its work in the open source, cloud area. Rackspace said it has launched a new tagline "the open cloud company", and has incorporated the tagline into its logo. Rackspace has recently been focused on developing OpenStack, an open source version of its cloud hosting software, which it has been making available to other Internet service providers. The idea behind the open source cloud environment is to make customers more confident about cloud hosting, by allowing them to deploy their cloud applications beyond a single, limited configuration set offered by a hosting provider like Rackspace.
