GlobalSCAPE Taps CoreTrace For Security Product

San Antonio-based GlobalSCAPE said today that it is targeting the home and small business market with a new security product, appShield. The firm said it is in the process of developing the new application, to protect computers against viruses and other malicious software. The firm said the technology for the new application comes from a partnership with Austin-based CoreTrace. GlobalSCAPE said it plans to release the software sometime in the summer. CoreTrace received an investment from GlobalSCAPE in December.
