LifeSize Adds Mobile Streaming Support

Austin-based LifeSize, which is now a unit of Logitech, said today that it has launched a mobile, HD video content streaming product. The firm said the product allows organizations to stream HD content to mobile devices such as the Apple iPad and Apple iPhone. LifeSize said the mobile streaming supports works not only on PCs, but iPod, iPhone, and iPads on Wi-Fi or cellular networks, via a native Web browser. The new support includes adaptive bitrate streaming, and LifeSize has also added support for network storage from NAS, among other features.
