Valence Technology Claims Patent Lawsuit Win
Austin-based Valence Technology, a developer of advanced energy storage products, reports today that it has prevailed in a patent infringement lawsuit in Canada. The firm said its lawsuit was filed against Phostech Lithium in 2007. The firm said the firm is entitled to an injunction, either accounting of profits or damages, and reasonable compensation and costs for the patent infringement. The patent covered the firm's carbothermal reduction technology. Valence is a developer of lithium iron magnesium phosphate batteries.
