Tabbedout Certifies With POS Provider

Austin-based Tabbedout, the developer of iPhone and Android payment systems for bar tabs, said this morning it has certified with a provider of hospital POS (point of sale) software, Dinerware. The firm said the certification allows more restaurant and bar locations to offer its mobile payment options. Tabbedout is venture backed by New Enterprise Associates, and recently scored a Series A funding round. Tabbedout's free iPhone and Android apps allow merchants to start a tab at bars and restaurants, and also integrates with social services such as Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare. Tabbedout's CEO is Rick Orr.
