Masergy Communications Acquired By Private Equity Firm

Dallas-based Masergy Communications said late Monday that it has agreed to be acquired by private equity firm ABRY Partners, LLC. According to Masergy, ABRY has agreed to purchase 100 percent of the existing equity of Masergy for an undisclosed price. The purchase comes just four months after Masergy said it would delay its attempt for an IPO, citing "market conditions". Masergy was venture backed by Centennial Ventures, Meritage Funds, and Special Private Equity Partners.
