Dell Invests $3M In Youth Groups
Round Rock-based Dell said today that it is planning to spend $3M to expand its program YouthConnect, an effort to provide state-of-the-art technology to underserved youth. According to Dell, it has tapped 24 organizations for funding, which will provide technology to young people in Texas, Washington, California, Illinois, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Georgia and Florida. The grants will be given to such groups as Girls Scouts USA; the African American Men and Boys Harvest Foundation; Keep Austin Beautiful; Genesys Works; and many others.
