Dell Donates $2.4M To Underserved Youth
Round Rock-based Dell said this morning that it has provided $2.4M in funding to 34 programs managed by 50 charities, across the United States, as part of an effort to help underserved youth. According to Dell, the programs included a multi-year gift to Girls Scouts USA and its "Be the Video Game Designer", along with other efforts. Dell said its donations will go towards supporting more than 33,000 cihldren across 11 states where Dell team members work and live. Unsurprisingly, a number of those programs are based in the Austin are; they include Austin's Girlstart education program; the University of Texas Elementary School "Project Based Learning for the 21st Century," and others.
