Austin Tech Council Boosts Board With Favaron, McClain

The Austin Technology Council said Tuesday evening that it has bolstered its rank of advisors with two, seasoned Austin technology entrepreneurs. According to the ATC, which promotes the technology industry in Austin, it has added Rod Favaron of Spredfast, and Mark McClain of SailPoint to its board. The two join a lengthy list of board members for the group. Favaron was previously at Lombardi, which was acquired by IBM last year; he apparently has had lots on his plate recently, as Spredfast also announced a round of funding Tuesday morning. McClain is CEO and Co-founder of SailPoint, and also founded Waveset, which he sold to Sun Microsystems three years ago.
