Austin Technology Council Opens Arms, App To Visitors

Every year, thanks to SXSW, Austin becomes the capital of the technology industry--attracting thousands of tech-savvy, out-of-town visitors. To welcome those visitors, the Austin Technology Council said this week that it has launched a brand new, mobile app--the Gateway To Austin app--which will showcase the best of the Austin technology scene.

The ATC said its new app, which runs on iPhone and Android, will showcase some of the coolest technology built from local companies and organizations. The app includes a guide to local food, tech, and entertainment. The app includes content from local startups MapMyFitness, TabbedOut, Circuit of the Americas, the Austin Food Blogger Alliance, Austin Startup Games and RED Method.
