Taqua Selected By Cellcom

Richardson-based Taqua, a developer of telecom switching systems aimed at the wireless backhaul market, reports today that it has been selected by Cellcom, for a femtocell implementation. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. Taqua said that Cellcom wil; use its small cell core ntework infrastructure for a service which will enhance wireless coverage and capacity within indoor locations, and high-traffic public areas. Taqua said Cellcom is using its TCS6100 Convergence Server, T7100 Multimedia Controller, and its T7000 Intelligent Switching System, among other products.
